LASER CLEANING

Laser cleaning sends nanosecond-length pulses of laser light towards a surface. When it interacts with contaminants that absorb laser light, the contaminants or coating either turn to gas or the pressure of the interaction will cause particles to free from the surface. Laser cleaning can be used on metal, wood, concrete, brick and most stone surfaces. It can be used to remove rust, paint, varnishes, grease, oil and other contaminants.

With the right laser settings and equipment, laser cleaning is unmatched in its ability to clean all the way to the bare substrate.

In addition to its cleaning capabilities, laser technology has added benefits: It is easy to operate, safe, quiet, and reliable. It doesn’t require cleanup and is environmentally friendly.

Laser cleaning is used in non-destructive testing (NDT) as a way to remove coatings so technicians can perform various tests including weld inspections.

THE LASER - 4Jet Jetlaser M500

We provide laser cleaning and blasting using the 4Jet Jetlaser M500.

The laser is a Class 4, high powered 500W pulse laser. The high power allows for faster removal and the pulsating nature of the lens allows for accuracy and detailed application.

The laser is equipped with a 15m fibre cable which allows us to work both around large equipment and spaces as well as vertically. With the small nature of the laser body and the long fibre cable we  can reach various vertical heights that require laser cleaning and blasting.

Our laser is mobile, allowing us to service you in any shop or work site. The laser is no bigger than a standard tool box, allowing us to service you and your equipment and surfaces without a large space requirement.
